Release. Overview
Purpose. All information about a release as a delivery unit: stage, assignee, dates, estimate and spent, closing data.
Who sees it. Roles with permission for the release's “Overview” tab. Roles with the permission to edit releases can change values.
How to open. Open a release and choose the Overview tab.
What is on the screen

- Stage. The current stage. On the right it says how many days remain for the stage (“30 days left”) if the deadline is set in the workflow. To move the release, choose Target status… and click Apply transition. If the transition has requirements, the cabinet shows fields to fill in.
- Main. Name, type, project, Task types in this release, Assignee. The pencil next to a value changes it.
- Description. Free text, saved automatically.
- Dates. Start and end of the release, Readiness date, Delivery date, Client acceptance date. Next to each date, the History link shows the changes.
- Metrics. Estimate in hours and Spent. The estimate is by default the sum over the release's tasks. If set manually, a yellow pencil appears next to it; to remove the manual value, clear the field.
- Closing. Closing amount and Act / Invoice, filled in at closing.
What you can do
Move a release through stages
- Choose a target status and click Apply transition.
- To move to “In development”, an assignee, an estimate, and a target date are needed. If something is missing, the cabinet says: “Required: assignee, estimate, target date”.
The standard path: “Planned” → “In development” → “Ready for delivery” → “Client acceptance” → “Closed”. More: “Stages and transitions”, “Closing a release”.
Locks next to fields
A lock means the workflow locked the field at the current stage. For example, after moving to development, the assignee and the estimate cannot be changed. To change a value, return the release to a stage where the field is open, if the workflow allows it.
